O presente texto pretende analisar o instituto da mediação, através de uma leitura dialogada com o pensamento waratiano expresso na obra A ciência jurídica e seus dois maridos, enfatizando a postura dual que aquele instituto pode assumir, quando, de um lado pretender a sistematização normativa e, de outro, relegar tal normatização para reforçar o foco na alteridade, visando a transformação dos conflitos e resgatando a sensibilidade. No intuito de se verificar essa postura dual, formulou-se o seguinte problema de pesquisa: A (...) sistematização do instituto da mediação de conflitos, pode assumir o perfil de Theodoro, afastando o viés Vadinho, como referido por Warat na obra A ciência jurídica e seus dois maridos? Visando responder ao problema proposto, o trabalho tem por objetivo geral discutir a sistematização normativa da mediação a partir do pensamento waratiano. E, por objetivos específicos: a) estudar as faces dos conflitos; b) o instituto da mediação e suas escolas; c) estudar a mediação por meio da perspectiva waratiana e, da obra A ciência jurídica e seus dois maridos e, sua sistematização normativa para o tratamento dos conflitos. Já o aprofundamento teórico do estudo pauta-se na pesquisa bibliográfica, consubstanciada nas leituras de diversas obras legadas por Luis Alberto Warat, apoiando-se em um método dedutivo. Existem muitos modelos de mediação, entretanto, a mediação proposta por Luis Alberto Warat ressalta o resgate da sensibilidade, visando restabelecer os vínculos esmagados pelos conflitos, reconhecendo as diferenças e promovendo a alteridade, afastando assim, uma rigidez normativa para identificar um perfil mais solto, mais Vadinho. This essay argues that feminist theory has focused, in the main and for too long, on theories of the body, in a legitimate reaction to a Western masculine coupling of beauty with a female or idealized maternal body and the sublime with male creativity. In consequence, there are few productive feminist accounts of female or maternal beauty. However, Virginia Woolf’s writings about beauty, mothers and the body, if read through the lens of post-Lacanian theory - particularly the work of Luce (...) Irigaray and Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger - do offer a moving and positive feminist account of women and beauty. The essay analyses Woolf’s ideas about beauty in general, before focusing on To the Lighthouse and The Voyage Out in relation to the writings of Woolf’s mother Julia Stephen. (shrink)

Damit verbinden sich hohe gesellschaftliche Erwartungen, aber auch Sorgen hinsichtlich einer schleichenden Entmündigung des Menschen. The authors claim that disciplinary epistemologies—disciplinary habits of mind and ways of thinking—offer productive lenses for observing teaching practices. Furthermore, they argue that educational developers who draw from multiple epistemologies in combination provide rich evidence with regard to teaching and learning and can speak to academic colleagues from an array of disciplines. In his book, Vyacheslav P. Shestakov conducts a theoretical reconstruction of the concept of the ‘Silver Age’ of Russian culture. He highlights three typical features that this phenomenon has in common with the European Renaissance: Hellenism, aestheticism and eroticism. In an effort to disprove Omry Ronen’s claim that the Silver Age was an unsuccessful invention of literary scholars, Shestakov calls the Silver Age “a certain intention, viz. a project of the future.” The monograph includes sections on Russian philosophy, painting and (...) ballet.
